Day One of Quote Week in Rachel Land!

It's quote week in Rachel land!!  I am going to post one "inspirational" quote a day for a week starting today.  Well here's the first one;
Distrust any enterprise that requires new clothes.  :)
~ Henry David Thoreau (author)  Haha!  Just kidding, here is the real first one;

Don't wait for extraordinary opportunities.  Seize common ones and make them great.
~ Orison Swett Marden (author)

Thanks for reading!

Random Fruit Facts!

Ok, so I was thinking it'd be cool to have some random facts on my blog.  Well...here you go!
·Banana trees are actually herbs.  This surprised me a lot.
·Mangoes belong to the same family as poison Ivy!  Now I dislike Mangoes even more!
·Passion fruits were first grown in Brazil. (another fact about Brazil; the capital is Brasília!)
·Lemon trees can produce 2,000 fruits a year!!  (Of course it depends on how old they are, and how healthy they are.)
·If you rub the inside of a banana peel on a mosquito bite, the itchiness will go away!
·There are over 400 varieties of Kiwi in China.
·Apples may reduce the risk of many kinds of cancer!  An Apple a day keeps the Dr. away!
·Strawberries were used as sacred symbols by Christian stonemasons.
One more fun fact;
·All of these facts I got from playing Fruit Ninja!!  (Except the capital of Brazil.)
Please feel free to comment.
